April Underwood, our President & CEO, has a diverse background. Born and raised in Southern California, she had the beginnings of a very interesting life. April is the daughter of Charles Underwood, a music producer and entrepreneur who sound engineered the hit single "Monster Mash", and produced many artists such as Doc Severinsen and the London Symphony Orchestra and Herb Alpert's Lonely Bull, the first music played in outer space. In addition, her father was key in the development of Sun Records, a close friend of Elvis Presley, and designed and tooled Elvis' leather guitar cover which now resides at Graceland.
April learned the art of entrepreneurship from her father as well as many other illustrious mentors.
In this spirit of creativity, April went on to dance professionally for years and then onto a successful run in the commercial design industry where she gained knowledge, skill set and key relations in the sectors of Hospitality, Public Works, and Corporate Environments; many LEED Certified.
Notably, she was a member of an elect team that was responsible for putting together The Paris Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada; partaking in the design and contract negotiations with Hilton Equipment Corporation, Hilton's purchasing arm.
April has a knack for being in the right place at the right time, travels extensively for TUGi and is a main creative driving force in our network.
Her emphasis is on client relations and project initiation.
